Home planet: Palaven
History: Born- 2168. Born and raised on Palaven. Began service in military in 2183. Upon finishing boot camp, was transferred to a colony in the Attican Traverse, where he served on the colony’s defense force until he was promoted to Blackwatch. When on a reconnaissance mission his squad was ambushed by batarian terrorists an Atlas mech missile detonated beside him tearing off one of his arms and sending shrapnel into his right eye. The injuries were replaced with cybernetics and he returned to service as a C-sec officer until 2185. With the threat of the Collectors looming, he returned to Palaven ready for a valiant defense of his precious home world. Thorus remained on Palaven for the duration of the Reaper war where he became a battle hardened veteran of the combined Turian-Krogan military. Shortly after the reaper war Thorus developed a serious drinking problem while trying to forget the horrors of the war and currently suffers from nightmarish flashbacks and PTSD. (Empty chairs at empty tables) Thorus was honorably discharged for his mental state.
Personality: Thorus Resesstian comes from a very militarized family where every member has or does serve in some way. He is a reserved hardworking leader who people said “he gave 150%, and when he didn’t he gave 100%”. He has replaced his religion with patriotism and his favorite day is the day when the Reaper war ended. He views very religious people to be incompetent for believing in such nonsense, he views religion as a waste of time and a distraction in the heat of battle. Thorus embraces advanced sciences with open arms and constantly seeks to improve his own. He has been known to take part in recreational drugs and is a recovering alcoholic (he’s a violent drunk). He has a high respect for the Primarch but finds the Council to be highly incompetent and slow to action. has no strong feelings toward any race other than a slight dislike of Salarians, a sense of gratitude towards humans and Krogans for helping the Turians save Palaven and an extreme hatred for Batarians for the consistent tendency of terrorism and personal experience. He keeps close connections to the remnants of his old squad and younger sister Vyrnna, who he is very protective of, most of his family was KIA in the Reaper war.
